First off, this is an amazing scooter. All the dads in the neighborhood scooter alongside our children - the solid rubber wheels on the Kick-Ped are great for this purpose.
It's a little bit slower than poly wheels or larger diameter inflated wheel scooters, but for my use case this is the optimal wheel/tire combo.
The spring that retains the imposable handebar shaft can get noisy on sidewalks and bumps - like a spring clangy noise. I plan to put some electrical tape beneath the spring to reduce the clangy noise. I wish the spring had some sort of rubber or plastic noice damper from the factory.
I debated between the Zinc and blue paint models. I went with Zinc for the timeless look. The zinc coating looks fine, but not as solid of a finish as you might see on an outdoor grade galvanized steel pipe.
I expect rust spots to form on the bottom of the scooter where curb rash and rock chips scrape off the zinc coating.
I would highly recommend this scooter to any adult looking for a low maintenance kick scooter!!!
